ICIJ wins Sigma Delta Chi Award for Multimedia Investigation; Newsday and News12 Long Island Were Partners on Team Investigation of Human Tissue Industry

I was delighted to learn that my multimedia investigative work at Newsday and News 12 Long Island has resulted in the national Society of Professional Journalist's top award as part of a joint effort with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. The ICIJ team won for online investigative reporting and I'll be there picking up the award on behalf of the team at the June 21 awards banquet at the National Press Club. Here's the details about the joint project: Skin & Bone, produced by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, a project of the Center, won for Investigative Reporting Online. The series revealed how the business of recycling dead humans into medical implants has flourished.
