Thomas Maier is an award-winning author and investigative journalist for Newsday. His 2009 book, Masters of Sex, chronicles the lives of researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson and was the basis for the Showtime television series. Maier’s other books include The Kennedys: America’s Emerald Kings; Dr. Spock: An American Life, and Newhouse: All the Glitter, Power and Glory of America’s Richest Media Empire and the Secretive Man Behind It.
